Aldi Grocery Haul |Dinner Menu|

This weeks grocery haul is from Aldi’s! As our family gets bigger and the kids start growing up our grocery bill is growing as well🙈 from baby snacks and toddler snacks to buying an extra steak for the boys to split (they love steak!), it can easily get expensive buying groceries! That is why I have been shopping at Aldi’s! They don’t have everything I need such as name brand products, for example I love Polly-O brand cheesesticks and I buy organic milk from Wegmans (doesn’t have a funky smell like the one from Aldi’s) and let’s not forget diapers and wipes! I tried Aldi’s brand but my favorite is Pampers baby dry & Huggies wipes!
On to the grocery haul, as you can see there is not much fruits, I went to a different Aldi’s and they sucked! Ha what I mean is they had very few options compared to the one I usually go to. But that’s ok, because thankfully I had fruits left over from the week before such as bananas, grapes, apples and clementines.
What I bought for the week is:

Meats

  • Bacon
  • Beef brisket
  • Fresh Salmon
  • Fresh Haddock
  • Hot Italian sausage
I still had chicken breast left over as well as pork loin for this weeks dinner menu

Produce

  • Kale
  • Spring mix
  • Cauliflower
  • Mini cucumbers
  • Avocados
  • Cantaloupe

Kids snacks

  • White cheddar puffs (so good!!)
  • Strawberry grain bar
  • Apple sauce pouches (kids favorite!)
  • White cheddar cheese popcorn (comes in individual bags, good for on the go!)
  • Green pea crisps
  • Baby strawberry puffs
  • Croissants (so good!! I make an over easy egg with a croissant to dip for the kids)

Other

  • Roasted Almonds
  • Dried cranberries
  • Chamomile tea
  • Smoked Gouda cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Caesar dressing
  • Ranch dressing (as good as Hidden Valley Ranch!)
  • Lime sparkling water (really good)

I did buy this candle that I didn’t include in my haul. I usually buy something non-grocery related because the prices are so good! It smells so fresh, perfect for the spring time!
( I don’t do a Mon-Sun meal plan because I’m picky and sometimes I don’t want to have that specific dinner on that day or we may be spontaneous and go somewhere and end up picking up chipotle🤪)

Dinner Menu for the Week

  • Baked Salmon
  • Zuppa Toscana Soup (click for recipe)
  • Smoked Beef Brisket (hubbys got that one!)
  • Baked Pork Loin
My husband and I are following a Keto diet so all those dinners will have a side of salad or steamed broccoli/cauliflower! Kids usually have cucumbers and mashed potatoes on the side.
Last nights Kids dinner:

Homemade chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, and cucumbers! My kids are picky when it comes to veggies (what’s new??) but they love cucumbers which is fine by me! They are full of nutrients and antioxidants!
